Phyllis was a beloved wife; mother of 3 sons; grandmother; and friend to
many with a joy for life and helping others. She lived in Clarksburg, Michigan with her husband of 37 years, Donald, and her
youngest son Shawn. Her other 2 sons Daniel, and William lived close by. The "sparkle in her eye", Ethan, her 10
year old grandson lived an hour away. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, stained glass and crafts, and
volunteering her time to numerous local organizations to helping others in need. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with many local
friends and friends she made online through the Leiomyosarcoma website. She enjoyed going out of her way to brighten others
days that were battling LMS that she never physically met, but called her fellow warriors. She was diagnosed
at age 52 with Uterine LMS. Over the next 4 years she never stopped fighting, never gave up hope, and continued to help and
support others with LMS and many other types of cancer. "Life
is not a destination, it's a journey, so remember to: Run and play and dance along the way!!" ~Author Unknown
