FOUNDATION CHANGES

The NLMSF began as a grass roots effort 7 years ago by a group of individuals whose families had been affected by a rare tumor, leiomysarcoma. Since that time it has experienced remarkable success in raising money for research into this rare tumor under the dedicated leadership of the founders of this foundation. As the NLMSF is a not-for-profit entity it is legally required to follow rules of the IRS. For that reason the Foundation has recently undergone some organizational changes. Among these was the necessity to change the leadership. During this transition we would like to emphasize that the Foundation remains financially and legally sound and dedicated to the original goals to increase awareness and find a cure for this disease.
